yesterday i think i was very happy..but tired too. yesterday...was the most POWERFULservice i've attended in Hope Church Singapore...
Pastor Shirley Melinda was teaching us about The Power Of Praise And Worship. [2 Chronicles 20:18-28] I guess i shuld have asked my friend to some, because then he would understand better about why we have praise and worship every saturday.
You see, praise and worship isn't just about the nice music. Looking at [Matthew 15:8-9a], we do not just want to have the correct behaviour. We do not just want to sing the words but mean the lyrics in our hearts too. You see, we must seek God and not the music. we're there not to review the singers and for the music but we're there to worship our mighty God. Songs will change but God will not. What we need is not better music but a deeper relationship with God.
We must also rely on truth and not feeling. Even when we don't feel like worshipping him, like when we're tired, we must. For we know it is the right thing to do. We must set aside daily time for worshipping God. It's not just about praying but we can also buy some worship songs cds and read the Word Of God, which is also known as the Bible. We should listen to songs that make sense and surround ourselves with God's songs(:
Praise and Worship also moves God's hand. When we praise and worship, God begins to move his hand and we feel his power. When we praise and worship, God sees our humility. He loves humble people and he loves to bless those humble people who rely on Him.
When we praise and worship, we celebrate our victories. Isn't it very normal for us to sing or whistle when we are happy? yepp, when we have so much joy in the Lord, we would express ourselves! haha. well, God has created music so that we can express our gratitude and love for Him. However, music is not the only way that we can worship God. We can do well in our studies, and lots more. We worship Him with our lives! yeah, let's put faith in him for everything that we do, BIG or small.
And that's why i'm going to do well for my studies for this End Of Year examinations. I have done too badly over the last three terms already. I have to buck up. FOR GOD. I'm going to focus and not be distracted by other tings, except when resting. I will be firm and say no to certain things if I have to. I'm going to try my best to bring more people to the Kingdom of God too(: I'm just so motivated...i want to be a SHEPHERD soon!! haha.. whee~ SO excited^^
you know, i cried yesterday during worship.. It was the first time I have experienced God like that...and I actually felt so happy as I poured out my heart and tears as i prayed to Him..
I don't know..i was so overwhelmed with my love for God, Jesus, my Lord. God never ceases to amaze me with his wonders and joy that he have brought into my life. OH! how i love God so much! I love him more than anything in this world. He is my friend in my times of need. He's always there for me..i know. He gave me peace..and showed me how to love and accept my brothers and sisters all over the world... He also made me realise that there are alot of other lost sheeps out there in the cruel world, and that i must try my best to bring them to Jesus.
